Jae W. Song, MD, MS
Dr. Song is the Director of the Penn Vessel Wall Imaging Program and Associate Professor of Radiology (curriculum vitae). She earned her MD at NYU School of Medicine. She completed her diagnostic radiology residency at Yale New Haven Hospital and neuroradiology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Her research is focused on the translation of neuroimaging methods that improve the outcomes of patients with stroke.

Shraddha Pandey, PhD
Dr. Pandey is a postdoctoral fellow and co-mentored by Drs. Song and Dylan Tisdall. She completed her PhD at University of South Florida in Electrical Engineering where she predicted stereotactic radiosurgery dose maps in cancer patients using deep neural networks. She is interested in MR pulse sequence design, protocol development, and applications. Fun facts: Shraddha is an avid gardener, animal lover, and active member of animal rescue groups.

Yu Sakai, MD
Dr. Sakai is a research track resident in diagnostic radiology at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his MD at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is interested in perfusion imaging, artificial intelligence, and quality improvement. Fun facts: Yu is a black belt karate master!

Harsha Voleti, MD
Dr. Voleti is a clinical track resident in diagnostic radiology at the University of Pennsylvania (Class of 2027). He completed his MD at Northeast Ohio Medical University. He is interested in stroke imaging. Fun facts: He follows Serie A soccer and is a fan of AC Milan.

Pargol Balali, MD, MS
Pargol is a StrokeNET fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. She works on various projects exploring stroke etiologies specifically examining carotid webs (watch her ISC25 interview here!). She earned her MD at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran and completed her Master’s in Neuroscience at McMaster University, Canada. Fun facts: Pargol enjoys playing piano and learning French in her free time!
